Terms of service

The agreement between you and StudiesSprintwhen you use the site. In plain terms: joining is free, membership is optional and cancellable, and don't abuse the community.
The service
StudiesSprint provides weekly build challenges with prizes, a leaderboard, a community feed, a moderated jobs board, and course material with quizzes.
Creating an account is free and requires no card, as does using the jobs board, whether you are looking for work or posting it. The course material and its lessons are also free. Membership adds the rest, and the sections it covers are marked on the site.
The weekly challenge awards prizes and has its own rules, which apply in addition to these terms — see the challenge rules.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. One account is for one person — signing in on a new device ends the previous session. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
You must be 16 or older. Give us accurate details, particularly your email, because that is how you recover access.
Membership and payment
Membership is $9.99/month, or $99.99/year if you pay for a year at a time. Stripe bills it at the start of each period and keeps renewing until you cancel. It adds the weekly challenges, the leaderboard, the community feed, and the quizzes. Prices include any tax where applicable.
If a payment fails we may retry it and, if it keeps failing, move the account back to the free plan. Your progress and your job applications stay.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time from Manage billingin your account, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancelling stops the next payment and you keep member access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Ask within 14 days of a charge and we refund it in full, to the card you paid with. As a distance-selling consumer contract UK law gives you 14 days to cancel, and nothing here reduces that right. Email hello@studiessprint.com from your account address rather than raising a chargeback — a chargeback locks the payment for months, where we can usually refund the same day.
Certificates already issued
We no longer issue diplomas. Certificates issued before that change stay valid and their verification links keep working. A certificate records that the named learner completed a course and passed its quiz here; it is not an accredited or professional qualification, and we make no claim about what any third party will accept it for. Don't present someone else's certificate code as your own.
Community rules
Posts, comments and challenge submissions must be your own work and stay civil. No harassment, hate, spam, sexual content, or anything illegal. No scraping or automated posting.
You keep ownership of what you post, and grant us permission to display it within the service. We may hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules — for serious or repeated breaches, without warning.
The jobs board
Anyone posting a job must be genuinely hiring for it and must describe it accurately, including pay. Never ask an applicant for money, bank details, or identity documents through this site. Postings that do are removed and the account is banned.
Every posting is read by us before it appears, and we may refuse or remove any of them. That review is a filter, not a guarantee: we are not the employer, we do not vet the companies behind postings beyond what is described on the site, and we are not party to anything that happens after you apply. Treat any request for payment or personal documents as a scam and report it.
If you apply through the site, what you write in the application and the contact details you choose to include are shared with that employer. We never pass on your sign-in address. If you post a job, applications you receive are for hiring for that role and nothing else — not for marketing, and not for passing to anyone else.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change as the product develops. If we make a significant change to your disadvantage while you are paying, you can cancel and we'll refund the current period.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Otherwise, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Courses are educational material; we aren't liable for career outcomes.
Ending it
You can stop using StudiesSprint and delete your account at any time. We may close an account that breaks these terms, and will refund any unused paid period unless the closure follows serious abuse.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protections of your home country's mandatory law.
Changes
We'll update this page and change the date above. For material changes affecting paying members, we'll email you first.
